Christmas Cantata
Summary
We were reminded that Jesus actually cares about who we think He is. (Luke 21:27, Matthew 16:13–17)
Sermon notes
We were reminded that Jesus actually cares about who we think He is. (Luke 21:27, Matthew 16:13–17).
So Christmas forces us to confront important questions: ➔ Who do we say He is? ➔ What do we celebrate? ➔ What manner of man is He?
✨ Jesus is the Son of Man, both divine and human, given authority, glory, and an everlasting kingdom. (Daniel 7:13–14)
✨ Jesus is not merely a messenger from God but the very expression of God Himself. He is God’s final and full revelation to humanity. (Hebrews 1:1–5)
Christmas is not just a date on the calendar or a season of festivities. It is the celebration of God stepping into humanity, clothed in flesh, to redeem, restore, and reign.
Simply put, and powerfully so, Jesus is the reason for the season.
