ALTARS

Summary

Apostle reminded us that life is not powered by hard work alone. There is mercy, and there is divine advantage. There is help that does not come from this world.

Sermon notes

Apostle reminded us that life is not powered by hard work alone. There is mercy, and there is divine advantage. There is help that does not come from this world.

Key Truths from the Teaching:

1️⃣ Success is not always proportionate to effort — “the race is not to the swift”.

2️⃣ Not everyone ahead of you is better than you, and not everyone behind you is weaker.

3️⃣The Name of the Lord is an advantage in a world of unequal systems.

4️⃣ Faith grants access to a realm where divine help operates.

SO, WHAT ARE ALTARS?

📌Altars are spiritual programs and infrastructures that respond to challenges.

📌Just like an alarm is programmed to ring at a set time, altars create spiritual consistency and response patterns.

📌Jacob encountered this reality when he slept on a stone and saw angels ascending and descending (Genesis 28). He realized that Abraham had previously transacted with God and that spiritual infrastructure was still active.

📌Yet in the New Testament, the altar has changed — not abolished, but fulfilled in Christ.

WHAT WE MUST DO WITH OUR ALTARS TODAY

1️⃣ Accept the Lordship of Jesus (Hebrews 4:14). We must acknowledge that the sacrifice has already been made once and for all.

The Lamb has been slain. We have received new birth, a new heritage, and a new High Priest. This is the foundation of our altar.

2️⃣ Confess the Lordship of Jesus continually (Hebrews 13:15).

Our altar today is not blood, but confession and praise. There is a better blood speaking better things for us, and we must daily acknowledge it with our mouths.

3️⃣ Submit yourself fully to God through consecration(Romans 12:1–2).
